First Lady Michelle Obama unveiled a new haircut at a White House reception for country music singers on Tuesday night in the East Room. Among the performers were the likes of Charley Pride, Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss and Union Station.

I have been seeing this on my local news all day. Supposedly women are calling and e-mailing local television stations to find out where to get the Number Seven Cream. Miami Beach has lost one of its top tourist attractions: the Miami Ink tattoo parlor.
Granted, the tattoo shop created for the popular TLC reality show closed last year at 1344 Washington Ave. when the star artists, Ami James and Chris Nuñez, moved to a new studio up the block, Love & Hate Tattoos.
The show ended a few months later amid strained relations between the stars and Discovery Communications, TLC’s parent.
But the famous Miami Ink sign remained after the duo converted the old studio to a clothing shop.
Fans constantly snapped pictures of themselves in front of the original location, which looked pretty much as it did in the show’s opening credits. Now the Miami Ink sign is gone, the store cleared out and a ”For Rent” placard hangs on the window.
Fans can take some hope, though, in a hand-written sign outside Love & Hate Monday: “Shop closed . . for filming. Thank you, Ami & Chris.”
In an e-mail, James said he and Nuñez are exploring tattoo traditions around the world for a new Travel Channel show, Worldwide Tribe, which will be based out of Love & Hate.
Worldwide Tribe is slated to debut before next summer, said Mike Beale, an executive with the show’s producer, Alchemy TV.
